99 polaris sport 400 belt

my friend just brought this to me, it has a broken belt,the mods are a aftermarket clutch, dg pipe, and v force reeds, i took the cover off and removed the shreded belt could you guys tell me the procedure as to replace the belt? i am going to the dealer now to get the belt and will be replacinging it in an hour or two,thanks for your help

replacing the belt is as simple as rolling the old one off and rolling the new one on. just be sure it's in neutral.

Before you replace the belt, make sure the clutches are lined up. Belts shouldn't shred no matter what kind of power you're making. I had one belt with chunks missing from it and it turned out the transmission mount was loose causing the trans to shift a little and moving the clutches out of alignemnt.
