kawasaki I really thought this was the year for us to re-unite with a hi performance quad, but kawasaki I have to tell you Thankyou for absolutely NOTHING!!! I figure a company who can sponsor races, build prototype quads and race quads for a select few would be able to give us a little hi performance for ourselves. Maybe you did not know it kawasaki but hi performance is back with or with out you. Apperently you must have fired all the guys with any since of adventure and intellegence (you know the ones who built the tecate).Well I am tired of waiting on you so you lose. I might even have to go by a cannnondale at least they r producing not only 1 but 4 hi performance quads (just wish they weren't so ugly). but oh well at least they aren't leting us hang with new and improved graphics on a machine that hasn't changed since 1987 and didn't interest me then either. the one quad that did interest me U QUIT BUILDING!!! thanx again i love your 2002 line up NOT!!!

I hear you man Kaw, and Suz need to get with it. The 650 looks real impressive have not ridden one yet. We also need more stream-lined sport 4x4s. One that is pure woods racer light and powerful. I would love something like that but maybe most would not.

Just wondering where you got any hint what so ever that Kawasaki was going to intraduce a New Sport Quad. There was NO talk on any of the forums I go to of a New Sport Quad by Kawasaki. Only people wishing.

If you want a Sport Quad get some other brand right now. But do not blast Kawasaki for intraducing a Sport Utility first. Right now 75% of the market is Sport Utilities, 18% is Sport Quads and the rest are misc. If you were making a new quad to head your product line what market would you go after. If you say a Sport Quad I hope I never work for a company you manage because it will not be in business long.
They made a Good management decision. And wait till next year and see what they come out with.

I agree with WayneB. But one thing is that Suzuki is coming back out with a 400cc 4stroke sport quad.

Have they ofically released th 02' model line? If so where at and what has changed besides the 650? I saw the Mojave in the current issue of ATV Action, but I was wondering if the 400 Prairie recieved any updates like engine braking or the selectable 4x4 etc... Anybody know?

I will try and keep it simple for you wayne since you said you would never want to work for me. I never said they should not have built the 650 don't miss understand me. I figure the reason you wouldn't want to work for me must be because I have a vision that a company could not only produce one, but two new quads in the same year. Unbievelable I know.

They must have folks like you wayne workiing there now. We met our quota we produced one new quad WOW. I guess someone should tell cannondale they are making a big mistake, wayne i will let you do that ok. I will also allow you to burst the bubble for all those guys who are truly excited about the possibility of a race ready quad coming out.

Here is another thought wayne about those percentages you quoted DO YOU THINK IT MIGHT HAVE A CORRELATION WITH THE AMMOUNT OF ATV'S THAT ARE AVAILABLE IN THOSE CATEGORY'S!!! I know for a fact, that if you were to produce me some hi perfomance quads you will see that number leap up. but stay stagnent like they have and i am truly surprised the numbers are as good as they are. It is only because people like me are desperate enough for hi performance that we take whatever crumbs the manufactures give us.

Finally where did I get the idea that kawasaki might produce a high performance quad. Let me think, maybe from the fact they produced a high performance quad to race that was to be more of a prototype for the kind of quad kawasaki was thinking about setting up. The other crazy place i got the idea from was in dirtwheels you know the atv magazine where they had a ninja 500 twin engine in a atv chassis with kawasaki oem plastic and graphics.

Sorry for thinking kawasaki could produce two good quads in one year. Or that they might even want to since THEY RACE ONE!! and believe it or not even built one many moons ago wayne. I guess I should lose my vision and think like you so i could be average. Because then I might consider hiring you.

That's tellin' him lt550r. Apparently someone doesn't know how to get the hint or read between the lines. Oh well, for that matter, neither does Kawasaki. Why tempt us with Mojave 500s? Why interest us with a dead-end racing program? Why make a trick 2-stroke 250 for no particular use? If they aren't going to produce a hi-po machine why factory back a racer? It can't be for r&d if they don't plan on producing these. btw, Kawasaki already had a sport utility before now.

Did you ever think that the Prairie 650 is part of the R&D for the next generation Kawasaki Sport Quad. Kawasaki knows what it is doing. After taking a tour of the Ford Truck plant recently I understand the large undertaking it is to build a new production line. Kawasaki is focusing on one project at a time, the 650 are underway and the sport quad is now in the works. The reason I bought a Kawasaki is because they build it right the first time. Kawasaki does much longer R&D testing than other manufactures.

Also one of the rights we have as Americans is Freedom Of Choice. So if you do not like what Kawasaki is making you have the Choice to buy something else. God Bless America!!!!!!

Well, if we're lucky they are going to wait another year and then introduce the KXF-250!! I know the chances of this happening are slim but I still hope they do.
