Well, i thought that MXBUBS idea was a great idea that went bad. SOOOO im gonna try and start a new one. Lets try to make this one work guys. I have had good luck with custom axis, works performance, NACS Racing (very very good company), Duncan Racing (reccomend to anyone), Rocky Mountain ATV (nuff said), and Ronnies Mail Order. The only really bad experience i have had is WIND MOUNTAIN ATV. Also, i dont know if this is because of a mistake on my part, but i called TC Racing, and was treated like an ingrade. I said "Yes, could you reccomend me a place that i could find a TRX350X motor in good shape." HE said "I build motors, not sell them" and hung up. I was displeased, i just couldnt help it. It may be all my fault though. Guys, lets please keep this topic alive! I feel it is a really good idea, and not get off on the wrong foot again. Pam, i apologize for MXBUBS actions. Speaking for everyone in the forums, i trust your opinions, and hope you will continue to share them.

It's not just you. I've always thought Tom is an *** to deal with. He definitely has skills but he is very short and condescending on the phone and God help you if you question anything he says. I don't care how good his products are, I won't do business with TC.

Props out to Service Honda, Honda of Troy, Rocky Mountain, PRM, Oury Grips, Houser Racing, and most recently Elka Suspension up in Canada - these guys spent enough time on the phone with me discussing the intricacies of their product and customer support that I cancelled my Custom Axis order and ordered a full set of Elkas for my 400EX.

Regards,

Dennis

Any company that's willing to spend time and discuss options and how their product works gets my vote!

It's easy to look through the magazines and shop by price, but from all of our experiences, the companies that get return business seem to be the ones that are willing to spend some time answering questions or fixing problems!

I've always had great luck with Honda of Troy. Even when I don't know the exact name for an item, they'll find it and get me the right thing every time. My local shop is so bad that I have to look the stuff up on the fiche and give them a part number to be sure I'm getting the right thing!

Works Performance has produced many sets of shocks for me that do exactly what I want. Even when I bought a Works shock used, they helped me figure out what parts I needed to install it and spent time with me figuring out how to set it up for my riding style. Good people.

Tom Carlson can be pretty abrasive. He builds fast four strokes, but I think he'd rather just work on a few of his racer's bikes and not deal with the general public. That's my take on him.

Ritter Racing does great work. Rick and his wife are the nicest people, and he always takes the time to explain stuff.

Don't get me started on one-lap....er....I mean Dunlap at Four Stroke Tech. It's amazing that some places are still in business!

Pro Fab ATV is good. Scott works hard and puts out a great product.

I used to have good luck with RAD and Recreation Unlimited (both owned by the same people). Then a few years ago we had a bearing carrier we purchased from them destroy itself in about 2 hours. We did get a replacement, but not until we'd had quite a few heated discussions. I have also heard some other people say they've had problems with RAD. I still buy tires from Rec Unlimited, and have never had a problem.

Denton racing is good. Every time I have a question that stumps me, Gary has the answer!

Anyway, there's my list!

Let's keep this one on the up and up. I agree that this is a great topic, and one that's really needed. The magazines never really test things and give their true opinion of how they work. It's up to us to get the word out to fellow riders!

So far, I've had no really bad experiences with any place. Thank the Lord! The closest thing to a bad experience was with Golden West Cycle. Not long after I got my 400EX, I ordered a package with nerf bars, and a bumper from GWC. The bumper came at the regular time. The nerf bars came in later on. They didn't tell me about a back order or anything, so I was expecting everything to come at once. I called them back, and it seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. Also, the picture in the ad showed AC products. I recieved DG. I was a pretty decent deal, so I just went ahead and kept them. They've turn out to be quiet strong products, and held up well to the abuse. This has been the only bothersome company I've dealt with so far. Phewww.

I've had VERY GOOD experiences with the following:

Nac's Racing is very knowledgeable and helpful. I've ordered shocks, brake pads, and many other things from here, and my orders have always been on-time and correct. The people at Nac's will do their best to answer your questions, and help you out the best that they can.
Rocky Mountain ATV is a great company. When you order from there, your orders are correct and they arrive on-time. Not long ago, I ordered some K&N filter oil along with a filter and everything. The can was busted when I got it. I just called them back, told them what had happened, and they sent me replacement bottle for free. They didn't even have to see my old, busted bottle.
Advanced ATV is also a good business to work with. Curtis was very helpful and extremely nice. While I was ordering, he even asked, "How's the weather down there in Kentucky?" It amazed me. How many people out there will care that much, and ask you how the weather is in your area? He even emailed me to let me know when my order was shipped, when I should receive it, etc. How many times does that happen? It'd recommend Advanced ATV anytime.
Magic Racing is another great company. I ordered my clutch from them, and I received it promptly, and a good price. The people there were very nice and easy to work with. Heck, they even threw in a cool sticker.

Keep the stuff comin' folks. This is a good thread. By posting their good and bad experiences in this thread, everyone will help out other ATVers. When people read about your experiences, it may help them to decide to do business with a "good" business instead of a "bad" one. Let's keep this thread clean, and running smoothly, so we can actally keep it.

I have had good experience with all these companies

Rocky Mountain ATV
Nacs Racing
Dennis kirk- does ok but their prices are high and the selection isnt very good
Shade tree powersports- good and has good prices but very little producsts
Works Performance
Magic Racing- good
Quad Central 2- seemed helpful too
East Coast ATV
Hetrick Racing- Very good

These companies I didnt like

Onoffroad.com- (forget what the real name is) they never sent an order out on time, argued with us, billed our credit card extra without telling us and then stood firm that they did, I ordered my AC nerf bars, grab bar and bumper from them and only the nerf bars came in close to on time.
Trenga Racing-Wont talk to you and answer your questions unless they "see the money"

Out of those companies, here are my experiences:

Work Preformance - Very good company. Got my shocks to me in a short period of time, and they are quality shocks.

Rocky Mountain ATV - Will never buy from these people again. Ordered a set of ITP holeshots on Douglas 190 rims. The beads were tore up on both tires, and consequently, they both leak around the rims. They wouldn't take them back.

East Coast ATV - Friendly people. Good place to look if you're looking for used parts.

2001 Yamaha Raptor (stock)
1988 Yamaha Warrior (too many mods to list)
