Bill, the filters you list look like some of them may be auto filters. Is there any problem with relief valve for by pass pressure if used on a motorcycle or quad. I suspect the oil pressure level may be quite different on an automobile or does it make any difference. I know Fram makes a filter for motorcycles that cross references to the Polaris filter, but I don't know if it is the ph6607 you listed or not. Any thoughts?

I use a Fram filter on my Y2K 325 Mag 4x4. It is a motorcycle filter #PH6017A...haven't had any complaints or problems with it and it looks exactly like the Polaris stock filter but alot cheaper.

The Fram 6607 is cross-referenced to the Polaris oil filter. I have been using it for a year now with no problems. I pick my filters up at Auto Village (local auto parts store)for about $5.00 CAD vs $18.00 for a Polaris filter.

Does anyone know the difference between the Fram PH6607 and the Fram PH6017a?
