i just wanted to know if the fl250 ody top end would bolt to the bottom end of a 1981 air cooled 250r trike? do the two motors have the same stroke because if they don't there is no way it would work. thank you for any replies. and also, do you have any info on performance and reliability of the first year 250r trike? thank you

Is your FL250 a 2-stroke?
Because the 250R trike is

 

their both 2 strokes but i'm 99.9 percent sure that they won't just bolt up.

 

FTZ makes a kit where they bolt the Pilot 400 cylinder on the 250R bottom end. It wont bolt up, and they have to do some mods to each end. Also, a bunch of people use the Polaris sport 400 cylinder with the 250R bottom end. Less mods are required there.
