Operator's Guide not worth squat for removing axle
#1
My wounded ds still got its gross seized bearing and carrier wound stuck in its rear... I've been busy and travelling lately, its not easy being an alien ...but here i am, back in my workshop...
Heres what's stopping me - the axle - It wont come off. why?
because the axle lock nut wont slide off the left and neithwe would the brake disc and its mounts.
It's the clip on the sprocket side... the metal ring...between the sprocket and the axle...
... how do ya'll remove this ring? I tried stabbing it off, I tried picking it, i tried hammering the sprocket back so the ring would then be exposed, but the sprocket wont budge...
I know I can replace this wound, I replaced my now stolen 250R's axle and bearings before.... but I'll need external help from you dudes on this one!
THANKS
Hudd

The axel is removed from the sprocket side.
You have to remove the retaining clip from the axel nut on the left side first. After you get the ring off the nut will come off as well as the brake rotor. Everything slides to the sprocket side.
