wheel spacers

Has anyone tried the wheel spacers that are sold by DG or Hot Seat? They sell 1-1/2" per side & 2-1/2" per side spacers. I was curious if there was a noticeable difference in cornering, how well they holdup & if it would give more travel on the front since you're moving the tires out?
