I am looking at buying a new ATV and wonder what people think about the Sportsman 6x6 or the Ranger 6x6. I owned an 1996 Polaris 6x6, before it was stolen, and liked it alot. I did notice that Polaris went back to the Chain Drive on the 2000 Sportsman 6x6 and was also curious as to why that happend. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

If you liked your 96 model you will love the 2000 model.

The 2000 rides ALOT BETTER, has more power, better lighting system, the chain almost never needs to beadjusted and when it does it's alot easyier, and the bed will last alot longer + it's lighter.

The reason they kept the chain drive in the rear is because of weight, cost, and because it was alot easier yo use the case from the Scrambler 500 than it was to create a new case and drive line.
