I tore up my outboard cv boot on my last ride and i have a couple questions about repacing it.

1. Will it be possible to replace the boot by just removing the two bolt/pins that hold the hub assembly on? Or would it be easier to take the whole hub off? It looked like if i left the one bot in the stabilizer bar? it would swing out enough to get the boot off.

2. When I put the boot back on do i compltely fill the boot with grease or just grease the joint liberally?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Oxlite CV gaurds are on the agenda now.....

Yeah you need to take the nut off to get the hub off. I think you just grease the joints liberaly and throw the boot on and put it all back together. Least thats what I did with a yamaha big bear I put a new front end on for a friend. Havent had any problems since.
