Here's the story. They work great however they didn't fit on my bike. after I put them on my bike I rode it around a bit to get a feel to see if I liked them. They pull very hard all the way through the rpm's.
Here comes the problem. I put my belt housing back on revd it up and the weights rubbed. Apparently when they tested the kits on the 500 scrambler they didn't realize that they changed the belt housing for 2001 to make bigger and cool better, and also less prone to get wet. So needless to say I sent it back.

However if they ever get it right, I would still like to have one.

Im,
with Bubba on this one.As of yet,im NOT sold on the Heel Clickers.Jack Schultz told me a long time ago of some of the problems that could occur with the Heel Clickers, and he was right on several aspects.

1.They did burn a hole thru the bottom of my clutch cover
2.They do not give MY quad the 40% more advertised power on the bottom end

Before purchasing the HCs,I asked Randy a few questions?
Randy e-mailed me and told me that they were finding about a 40% increase on the lower end,and a 5-6 mph gain on the top end with the HCs.He also said that the HCs worked GREAT on EBS model ATVs.I brought the quad into the dealership, had the HCs installed and my ATV was VERY slow from a stand still in comparison to the Hot Seat clutch kit.The quad would wheelie with EASE with my HotSeat clutch kit,it would barly come up with the HCs kit.AFTER the HCs were installed in my EBS clutches, the mechanic noticed the lower section of my Primary sheeves to be worn and flat,he went to work for me with Polaris and got me a brand new EBS primary clutch for free,I had to pay 65 bucks for re-installation again.

He re-installed the HCs in the new EBS primary and there was very little performance gain in my low end.Still not happy with my low end performance,we changed primary springs two differant times.

I now shoot out of the hole nicely and the quad will wheelie in low range with no effort, but the engagement speed is VERY HIGH.I MUST use the reverse overide button in order for reverse to even think about engaging. My Hot Seat kit did not engage any where near as high as the HCs and would wheelie with EASE.

Currently, the quad is at the dealership. They are suppose to modify a new clutch cover for me so that the Clickers will work without rubbing and burning a hole thru the cover.I have a huge concern about this? The HCs weights swing out further than any other kit, this helps your top end and is also the reason why there is a hole in my clutch cover. So what will they do?My guess is they will modify the weights so they dont swing out as far,if so,this will affect my top end speed and make the quad slower. If so,WHY have this kit?

The HCs perform better than either the EPI or Hot Seat clutch kit,so dont get me wrong, however,I am really starting to question the performance advantages vs the Hot Seat clutch kit vs the added expenses and headaches that the HCs have given me?So far,I paid out,

184.00 bucks + tax for the HC kit=195.00 bucks
65.00 bucks x 2 installations =130.00 bucks for installation
195.00 for the HC kit
+130.00 for installion
=325.00 dollars

This is not to mention the headaches this kit has caused with the low end performance problems. This kit REALLY hits hard, but there are some bugs that need to be worked out before they perfect it,at least on the Xplorer model. My advise to you is to talk to Randy at SuperTorquer.com and make sure that the HCs have been installed in your model Polaris ATV before you purchase them.If the answer is YES,buy the kit, you'll be happy.I had NO idea my quad was used as a Guinnie Pig and this was my dealerships first installion of HCs on an Xplorer ATV.Had I of known this,I would of waited longer for them to work out the bugs.

Its a tough call and im not done bitchin about this kit yet, lets wait and see what the dealership comes up with?

Bill
