I'm going to be buying a new quad, and would like to know what you guys and gals thought. I'm 6'2" and 240 pound. I ride mostly trails, and I love mud and snow and want a 4 wheel drive. I also hunt and fish, so a little light duty work will be done. Right now I have it basically narrowed down to two quads: the Yamaha Wolverine and the Honda Rancher. I like to ride fast and aggresive at times. I know the yamaha is sportier, but the honda seems to more up to date with the new technology in the atv world. I don't want anything bigger than a 350. The only thing that has me questioning the honda is that will I be happy with it cruising the trails. Also, can the wolverine or rancher handle mud or snow or anyother trail obsticals better than the other? Which one should I buy? Any help will be useful. Thanks.

The wolverine is good in the mud but you can also jump it and it will have a softer ride because it has more sport like suspition!!! I would go with the wolverine!!!

A Rancher would be a good choice.

If it has to be either the wolverine or rancher, go with the rancher. It has a lower first gear for better pulling under loads and turning larger mud tires. It also has the new Honda "trak sensitive" front differential. Although, if you do a lot of snow riding, the wolverine I think will have an easier time starting in cold weather. But, if I were you, with your size, I would get the foreman 450s. Its much stronger, and a little more stable.
