since the engine on my xr is toast i thought i'd try to get
my 1977 odyssey running. all i need is the crank shaft and
magneto. the previous owner tried to take the magneto off
the crank with a hammer instead of a puller. He (and then
later, I) then drove the odyssey with a bent crank while the
magneto was being torn up. i put about 400 dollars in new
parts into the ody until i took off the magneto and saw deep
scratch marks around the whole thing. then we turned the
engine with the magento off and noticed how the crank was
bent on the end. so if anyone has at least the bottom end
off an ody that they would like to sell at a reasonable
