hey rick ritter what do you ride

Rick,
I would like some info on your 414 kit. I have a trail boss and I want it to be a great trail machine for my wife. I want it to be able to ride at slow speeds and climb hills like a mountain goat. I don't want it to power out on a steep climb. I also don't want to have to get a running start just to make it. If its rocky terrain I want her to be able to ease over the rocks even climbing. I am not worried about the top end. Would the 414 kit be good for the slow trail riding/climbing? or would you recommend something else?

Well, Speed is not for everything!!! Out west we have piles of earth called mountains!!! Unlike the flatlands of the midwest these piles of earth range from 3,000 ft to over 12,000 ft, many of which are infested in rocks and boulders. attacking these trails with speed would do nothing but puncture tires, smash skid plates, and throw riders like you off!!! These trails will not put you to sleep but will cause serious damage to you and your machine if not ridden properly. I may be in first or second gear but it is tougher and more challenging than your 5th or 6th gear wide open throttle!!!!

I think he was in reference to bdscram1's remark about a ported and polished lazyboy.
Don't worry ttaylor I think he was talking about what Rick rides. Not comparing your A/C to a lazyboy I think the lazyboy would win on flat ground but on a hill you might just take it!LOL
I know the lazyboy would beat my Magnum, but on the trails I ride you just can't go that fast, I can keep up with the sramblers in the group until the trail opens up, then I am hosed. The only reason I would want a faster machine is so my buddies don't beat me to the beer!LOL
