I am in the process of ordering rear tires for my 85 Yamaha Tri-Z. I want the Maxxis Razr tire in 20*11*9 but do not know if I should get 4 or 6 ply. Which one should I get? What are the disadvantages of getting 6 ply and not 4 ply. Would they make my bike slower by the added weight? Please let me know your comments.

E-mail Maxxis at maxxis.com and find out the weight difference between the two kinds of tires. That is what I did. Wade Buffington was a big help. He gave me all the info I needed.

ridnwarrior,

Already did that and went with the 6-ply. There is only 0.2 pounds difference between the 4 and 6 ply so I figure there is no drawback of going with the 6 ply. Thanks for the reply.
