I have 26in. Goodyear terra grips on my big bear with no lift and they fit just fine. And there is plenty of fender clearance. If you actually measured the height of most tires, you would be surprised that they are not as tall as they are advertised to be. TF

As a side note: You'll limit yourself if you plan on using your stock wheels. TF

26x12x12 ITP Blackwaters on a '96 BB SE.

Good luck!

I just put a set of Blackwaters on a 91 BB

I went with 26x9x12 on the stock front 6.5" wheels and 26x12x12 on the rear 8.0" wheels, fit perfect, just had a little hammer work to get the beads to seat on the rears.

I have ridden a few machines with the 26x12x12's on the fronts, and the steering was way too heavy for trails and the turning radius was too big. Depending on the riding you do, you may want the 12" fronts though.

By the way, the 26" Blackwaters only measure 24.75" outside diameter mounted on the wheels and 5 psi. They are shorter than the stock Dunlops, something i wasn't too happy to discover.
