I have a '94 Warrior that uses a K&N Filter, jet kit, SuperTrapp Racing Series, and had the top end rebuilt last year with a Wiseco ProLite piston kit (stock compression.) Whenever I start it in the morning it smokes like crazy for about a minute. Sometimes it is white smoke, sometimes blue, or a mixture of both. It doesn't seem to be burning oil as I have checked the oil, and the smoke doesn't smell. Also, soot doesn't form all over the muffler. I have been told this is the engine burning the K&N Filter Oil but I find this hard to believe. After the initial start in the morning it won't smoke or smell at all for the rest of the day. It runs great and always starts easily? Is it burning oil? I am stumped.

Thanks in Advance

I am having the same problem on my stock wolverine. I just assumed it was burining oil thats why I am looking into a big bore kit. Would like to see what other people suggest.

It could be smoking because the motor is't
warmed up.

My guess would be valve-stem seals and worn guide bushings. May be a good time to get new valves and a high lift .430 cam for the Warrior.
