Finally tested the Holeshots MX (rear) on my shee!
#1
It was a little ride (almost no gear...just helmet/goggles/gloves) so I didn't push too much, but I did notice major differences vs the Bearclaws.
First...THEY GRIP!!!! It's unbelievable how grippy they are! I have a hard time turning! I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it, but the 2 meats behind were telling where to go (and I have Rikens up front)...that is ...straight! You really had to break them loose to turn properly. Oh yeah...wheelies out of a donut are very easy too.
Second...THEY GRIP...sideways, that is. Like I said, I wan't pushing too much since I was just wearing sorts/T-shirt but when I had the right balance to carve a turn (no sliding it), I could really feel the lateral force pull me unusually hard...wow
Also, they don't seem to be as rigid (sidewall) as the normal 20" holeshots XC can be. When I tested Xplor's Holeshots, I really noticed a difference in comfort (vs the bearclaws)...this time, it wasn't that obvious...
The 16 teeth front sprocket is good too. I'll have to see how much top speed I lost...but power delivery is still good...so 16/41 seems the right ratio for trail riding...
