neutral light out
#1
Guys,
While riding at Silver Lake this past week-end my neutral indicator light went out. I figured all the bouncing around might have broke it.
I checked it out & found that there is not power getting to the light itself. If it's not the light, & the wires are OK where is the sensor that tells it that you are in neutral? Could that sensor be bad ?
Thanks....

Your neutral safety switch could be bad. I just rebuilt my whole engine and I found that my switch had almost broken off. It's located right under the oil filter cover, you will see a small wire atteched to it with a small phillips head screw. If you so desire, you can cut off the end of it and not worry about a light, but you have to have the clutch in in order to start it, until you disable the lead itself somehow. Hope this helps.
