Kodiak 2000 ( suggestions needed )
#1
I recently ordered a new Kodiak from Colorada. I expect it to arrive
sometime this week. I would like to know if anyone out there has had any
problems or found any ways to tweak the ride or engine on thier
machines. Also I have heard a lot about belts getting wet and causing
problems. I would like some suggestions on what to do if this happens to
me in the woods. I am new to the automatic transmissions. What is a
"safe" water level on this ATV?

Kodiak Y2K seems to be a great machine. The weight is super! The skid plate needs to be extended little bit,I think Mark you will be satisfied with it. I think you made an excellent choice. Congratulations. Keep us posted.
J.C. Polaris Sportsman 500 with auto tranny-
no problem with water ever(900 miles 99 model}Often crossing a river, water over the exhaust pipe ,never had a belt slipping. You will have same experience with your Kodiak,I have no doubt.

A friend has a new Kodiak and really likes it so far. We've beed in water to about headlight level with no problems. Not quite as much power as my polaris but handles and rides much better than my other friends grizzley did.
