Little TRX 90 is Very Trail Worthy
#1
We have only had the 90 a couple of months now, but I have to say I am impressed with this little bike! Most of the tons of kids quads out there, are fine for putting around a track or something, but aren't rideable when you try to take them out on the trail. This bike has good suspension, engine braking, and a lot of torquey low end power. It seems to lack high end, but that won't be bad news for most parents! My son has taken it on a couple of long, tough, XC rides now, and the little bike can really handle it.

YZGUY,
How hard is the pull starting for an 8 year old to do. My son started off on are Honda XR70 and it was easy to kick start. We don't ride it as much anymore but its still fun to get out every once in awhile. Chet

Thats the only downfall I can see of the TRX-90. My daughter is almost 8 and I am getting swayed to the Raptor80 because of the electric start. I still like the trx-90 better though. I wish they would come out with the hunter green like they had a few years back to match our other Hondas. Chet

Chet-I considered the Yamaha 80, years ago, but the suspension was a weak point, so I got the Suzuki LT-80. My daughter grew up on the LT, then graduated to the Recon, and now to the 300 and Rancher (she is really big for 11!). My son got the LT as a hand-me-down, and has ridden it for several years, but it is an automatic and has no engine braking. The tendancy is to brake hard and lock up the rear end and get sideways. This is a big disadvantage doing steep downhills. Anyway, this is why we switched to the 90, and the LT is for sale. I can tell his riding has improved greatly in a short time, and he has a lot more confidence. He still needs some coaching on the shifting though.
