For the last forty years or so, we, Americans, have increasingly turned against God. No Bible, no Ten Commandments, no prayer allowed in our schools nor in other public places. NOW, we are surprised when God allows our enemies to do something like this! All of a sudden, we are "praying", flying flags, being patriotic! What happens when this is past? Will we continue to acknowledge that God is in control of our destinity, and is our only hope? Or will we go back to our old ways, no God, no prayer, no Bible, no commandments? I am sorry for those who lost loved ones this week, and I hope to see those responsable for this disaster brought down, but, maybe almighty God has allowed this to happen to wake up America? Quite the claim man. God is responsible for this? Doubt it. If God were in control of what happens this world would be nothing but peace. I got news for you bud, that is not going to happen.

I am not big on religion, but I do know that God was not doing this to "teach us a lesson." If you have religious comments, this is not the place to spout. There are plenty of priests.

Sorry man. No disrespect.

JWCTRX I agree with you. I AM a religious person, no, more than that, I am a Christian. I don't see how you can look at just this earth in general and everything in it, including ourselves and believe that there is no God, that we just somehow evolved to what we are today.............right. I also find it odd that America want's nothing to do with God and we as Christians are radicals and intolerant, until tragedy strikes and then everyone is calling to God for help. Then things go back to normal and God goes back on the shelf until we need him again. We are not robots. While God does protect us he also gives us all a free choice and will. We can do right, or we can do wrong. Obviosly the people who are responsible for this terrible act have done wrong and they will be punished, not only here on earth, but for eternity. But Everything happens for a reason, we don't always know what it is, but it happens for a reason. This tragedy has brought America together like never before, maybe America is ready for a revival. I know this is off the topic of ATV's. But there is more to life than ATV's. I just wanted to show support for JWCTRX, cuz he has a good point. Peace fellas.

JWCTRX -

Your statements are ABSOLUTELY uncalled for.

When we do wrong, God cries for us - he does not "allow" this to happen.

Your lack of respect for what has happened is appalling. Shifting the blame from the terrorists to the victims is truly disheartening.

Finally, from a logical standpoint, your argument is riddled with holes. Over forty years ago, when American's were "strong" Christians (so you say), thousands of Americans died in WWII. Justify that.

zillaman500, thanks for your support. You seem to have good insight. I am not trying to shift the blame, as indicated by ogre. I'm sure there were some fine, completely innocent people killed in these terrible acts this week. I am truly sorry for them, and their families. As to WWII, and WWI, Korea and Viet Nam as well, there were a lot of innocent lives lost. The only justification for that was that our American soldiers gave their lives defending the freedom we enjoy today. I, myself, served in Viet Nam. I, along with thousands of others who served with me, and some who gave their lives, were, for the most part, looked down on by the Americans who were safe at home and only knew of that war in the newspapers and on TV. Where was the patriotism then? I love this country and will support whatever action is taken to bring these terroists to justice. As I see it, justice in this case means their destruction. But, we can't continue to defy our God and His commandments and expect to live safe and peaceful lives without facing His judgement. Historically, God has punished the disobedience of His people by allowing their enemies to defeat them. When we turn back to Him, He will then give us the victory over our enemies. Jim.

JWCTRX is correct in that we should not be shocked. Matt 24:6, Mark 13:7...heck, a whole bunch of verses tell us that things such as this will happen.

However, while I may agree that America, in general, has experianced some moral decay, I do not, in any way, shape or form, think this attack is God's punishment. All one needs to do is look to the Bible for proof of this. God NEVER "punished" a nation without forwarning, without a clear prophetic message being given.

Now some may argue that this has actually occured. But I think far too much time is wasted speculating on the spiritual ramifications of this event. Point blank, evil entered the world when Satan fell and has been resident here since that old "apple" incident. This is merely another, very tragic example of that. No special considerations need be applied beyond that.

It is, however, an excellent time for people to turn (back) to God, and for those of us who believe to offer the prayers and comfort we can.

Guys, read your Bible.. C'mon

Remember the scripture(Can't recall the verse)... An army went into battle, and instead of praying and trusting God, they found pride in themselves, and God let them be destroyed. I certainly believe that God would let this happen. Through this tragic incident, his name is being glorified. Many people are relying on him, and this is what he calls for.

God would sacrafice 2 for the salvation of 1.

I think every thing happens for a reason. We may not always understand the reason, but again there is a reason for not understanding. GOD's vengance is great! There are alot of real good people in the world, but there are alot more bad people. People have to realize that the devil exsist because god allowed him to. Everyone needs to read Revelations, and read it more than once. I dont know if there will ever be world peace, there wasnt peace when the Bible was written and there still isnt. My thoughts and Prayers go out to every one who lost family, loved ones, and friends. I have always been tought to also pray for the people of the world who are evil so that they might find GOD. I cant see destroying a whole country,or race because of alot of bad people live there. You should try to think how GOD would think. He didnt let them come in and destroy our country and race because of the lots and lots of bad people here did he? May GOD be with us ALL!
