Can you tell me then "Scientifically" who or what or how was earth created? Genesis can tell you!

 

I guess you havent heard of the big bang theory. Why is so much harder to believe than poof, there it is? I can use science to prove that earth is millions of years older than what the bible states. How do you disagree with that?

I'll leave it at that because its obvious that nothing new or productive is coming from this post.

My goal in life is not to convince anyone that god exist but I really enjoy discussing it with intellegent open minded people.Off roading provides a platform for people to gather around a campfire and ponder the meaning of life,Isnt this a great sport.It is very hard for me to understand why non believers are so angry with this post,As you said earlier there is no proof either way but a great topic.As far as someone else saying there is no proof of ghost that is not true, many cases have been documented also most scientist agree that god must have made the universe there is no other logical explanation.

There is no, and I state no picture, film or recorder sound of any ghost or other worldly thing even. All you have is old doulbe exposed film from the'40 that has been proven to be hoaxes and camera failures. Not one experiment in a controlled enviroment has even yeiled and result even.

No one has predicted anything or seen visions that could not be explained by chance. If they could they wouldn't be wasting time predicting events and would focus on predicting the lottery numbers.

This is my final reply to this thread,A strong mind is one that ponders our purpose in life and looks for answers to the greatest question of all,is there a god.A weak mind simply accepts that he is in complete control and is all knowing when actually nothing is further from the truth.Keep an open mind and asking questions and you just might find out that there is more to life than what meets the eye.

The bible never claims to be a scientific book but it is not in conflict with current scientific understanding.
The "Big Bang" theory is basically that there was nothing and then all of a sudden the universe was filled with planets and other objects.
The creation account says that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" Genesis 1:1. Apparently there was nothing there before the physical universe appeared and then all at once it appeared.
No where in the bible does it state the age of the earth so arbitrary numbers are out of place.
The latest understanding of evolutionary scientists is not that a one celled organism eventually grew into birds and fish and bears and plants and humans but rather all living things have a basic cellular structure that is shared and thus an explosion of various living things occurred simultaniously where there had previously been no life. The Bible says that God "let the water swarm with life and flying creatures in the heavens and everything that moves about..." Genesis 1:20-25.
Most scientists agree that you cannot make something from nothing and before there were minerals and amino acids and single cell organisms and light and air/ gasses, there was nothing. And frankly you still can't make something from nothing. A person with enough knowledge about how life works can produce life with componants that are here now but cannot produce life in a vacuum (a space entirely empty of matter).
And even with extremely educated people doing the work, it is very difficult to produce the most basic "life" with the componants readily availible.
This brings us to the mathmatic equation as to the possibility of evolution happening. To illustrate we will give evolution a head start by beginning with a complete living organism, a cow. Take the cow and kill it, then grind the whole cow into microscopic cellular matter. Then take the cellular matter and put into a cement truck and turn the truck on. Will that cow ever get re-assembled? You decide. And if you decide that the cow would even after billions of years somehow become re-assembled, remember that it is one of millions of living things on the earth and within the cow there are complex systems like the waste, and circulatory systems that must work flawlessly or the organism will die. There is also the reproductive system that must work in order to carry on the process without having to go through evolution again. And this all has to be done in tandem simultaniously or there is no Mrs. Cow to bring forth Cow Jr. Mathmatically it is impossible.
As a side note, I appreciate the patience of the Moderator on allowing this thread to continue. Time and again it has been seen that the more people hear and at least come to a basic understanding of each others beliefs, there is greater tolerance of each others views. This is obviously the problem with the Taliban regime. I heard on the radio today that if the soldiers catch you listening to any kind of music, you are arrested and punished and the tape is detroyed and is wrapped around the trees near the street to serve as a warning to others who may have have the desire to liten to music themselves.
Fortunately we in this country have the right to say what is on our minds, disagree at times, but still be unified in a common goal. For this forum it is the sport of ATV riding. I'm sure I speak for most posting to this board in that I respect the views of each person posting to this board and have experienced much assistance from the many people who attend.

 

The debate as to the existance of God and the need for person to live their life in accordance with spiritual beliefs can be compared to that of a wager between the believer and non-believer. The believer stands to loose 70 or more years of "do and think as I please" living, while the non-believer stands to loose a later eternal existance.

As for me, I'll pass up doing as I please in this life and bet instead on spending eternity with the power that others say doesn't exist.
