I too find it odd that now all of a sudden everyone turns to God to help them trough this great tragedy! I have prayed for all those involved in this tragedy and have forgiven those who plotted against us. However I still feel ANGRY as a US citizen and hope that President Bush does something about this as I know he will. I think this will (My opinion) ultimately turn out to be a Holy War. The Afghans believe in one god and I or we believe in another God which now I am opening interpretation so I will just stop!

Cmon people, let's get real. Almost every war throughout history has been about religion. So, don't go blaming this on the lack of Americans belief in God. That's just plain stupid. Maybe we should concentrate on educating everyone that there is no 1 God and no 1 religion that explains everything. As we become more and more educated we continue to disprove most of what religion is teaching us. Remember the Greek gods, we learned through science where the Sun, lightning, etc. came from and now nobody worships the greek gods anymore. Now we have proven where humans came from (evolution) and it's time to move on to some other belief. Can't we all just believe in one another and leave it up to science to explain the unexplained? This would make for a much more peacefull world!!! I suppose if you wrecked your ATV, then that would be gods doing as well. Let's just call for peace and let everyone believe in what works for them.

 

Mr Ben Laden has to die and all those who helped him also, weither they are financial helpers,military ones or political ones but to bring this down to a religion matter is just playing the game.God has nothing to do with this,Mahomet,Jesus,Boodah and all those others that i couldnt think of are just creations of the human mind.We need to beleive in something or in someone so to us our religion is the one and all others are creations of evil forces,this is just bullshit.Do you guys really beleive that Saddam Hussein is a true beleiver if you do you are fooling yourselves,Saddam is a despote just like Hitler was or Stallin was and Ben Laden is, they do not care about religion or god for that matter.The "Holy war" is just an excuse or a politically correct way to bring themselves into the international spotlight.


Satan,Belzebuth or whatever you may want to call him is just an invention of the human mind,showing a true need for recomfort and of course someone else to blame for our bad actions.If Jesus would have been born 25 or 30 years ago he would have been arrested and put into some mental institute.

Evil acts or whatever we call them are just human natural behaviors (as history can prove to us) and we should stop blaming SATAN or anybody else.We are the ones (as human beings as greedy as we are) bringing to ourselves and we should stop blaming outside forces and start blaming ourselves as human beings instead of blaming supernatural forces whatever they are.

Ben Laden isnt the creation of evil forces that are surending us he is just another twisted mind like Hitler was,now lets just not blame any of our gods for all of this.The human kind is responsible no one else.

Back when everyone was so scared of the Y2K thing, we had a service related to the topic. Our pastor stated that he solemly believes that God WOULD do this. God WOULD take the lives of the people in the building, so that he will be glorified, and more people will be drawn close to him. America is not where it needs to be w/God. We turn to him when we need him, yet our pride keeps us from it when things are going good. Instead of crediting him for the good things in our lives, we give the credit to ourselves. God gives all. Believe it or not, God gave you the 4 wheeler you ride. God gave you the car you drive. God GAVE you LIFE.

Wow you guys are touch a big nerve with me, I'm am an atheist. I believe in everyones right to pratice anything they want but I don't want it in public schools and in my government. I don't want my tax moey to got to any religous association. I don't believe in god and I have never stolen anything or killed anyone, I control my own future.
If you look at it religon is the one this that separates us and have caused more death that anything out there.

I had to hold my self from kicking in the TV yesterday when I heard Billy Graham saying that this is because of our lack of faith and the goverment kicking religion out of the goverment. Then to add injury to insult he brought out a woman recounting her story of how god saved her for getting killed at the WTC. She sayed she was in the second Tower floor 81 when she heard a crash, she looked out the window to see a black burning hole in the other tower. Over the PA an announcement came over to stay to the building and everything was ok, but she had a feeling, a voice inside (god) told she to get out of the buildig. She did and a few minutes later the tower she was in was crashed into and collaped.

Now, to me this is an insult to all the people that died, did god not care about them? Was she better than those 5,000 other people that died? I would love for her to say that infront of the families of some of the victoms.

Where was god during all of this? You guys need to wake up and smell the coffee. Go to school and educate yourselves open your eyes and stop believing in fairytales. Religion is what got us into this mess in the first place.

I know these are harsh words and I will get flamed for it but I really am tired of hearing about GOD saving us.

 

There are a couple things i waqnt to set straight. One there is a God and a Devil. Yes God nor the Devil made anyone do this. God gave us free will and the Devil tries to tempt us to do things that are bad. God lets us know what is right and wrong but he does nto interfear. He lets us make our own decision good or bad. And there is only 1 God but god did not create religion, man did. He intended us to worship him together. Sparky you need to read the first couple of chapters in Genesis because it says that God created heaven and the earth. He also created man and eveything. We did not evolve from some animal or any cell. Im not sure if this is going to be the Holy War or not but i do know that this is the begining of the end. There have been proficies about this very event happening. A fomous speaker (nOt sure of the name but if you want it tell me and ill get it to you) said that there would ba a tragity in a big city involving twins falling, and everybody would cry. Well i didn't cry but on the otherhand i did, I cryed out to God not to stop and save everybody there but to carry out his plan. Just like LonestarBanshee said 2 die for 1 to have salvation. These people died but look how many eyes it opened to God. If you guys havent tried to lead somebody to the lord try it because they are so open to what you have to say.
