I was trying to fix the off-idle hesitation on my '02 Warrior by turning the idle air/mixture screw. I didn't have any luck, so does anyone know where I should set it back to (ie. how many turns out)
to get the stock setting?

First it's not called the idle air/mixture screw. It's the air/mixture screw. The idle is adjusted with the thumb screw on the bottom of the carb. You can't miss it. It's the round **** with the spring above it. In the service manual it calls for 2 turns out on the air/mixture screw. After you set that take the quad for a ride and get it warmed up. Ride it in any gear and hold it at high revs. Then let off the throttle all the way. If it backfires or sputters at all adjust your air/mixture screw until it doesn't do that. Then your air/mixture screw is adjusted properly. With a totally stock machine the only way to make that off idle hesitation any better is to raise the idle a little bit. You won't eliminate it but it should be better. Make sure not to have the quad idling too high either. Next time before you touch the air/mixture screw on anything, even the lawnmower, count how many turns it takes to seat then write it down that way there will be no question when you go to put it back where it was.
