Checking in this forum is a great place start. I learned much from this site before buying my 00 Big Bear in September.
Go to Yamahausa.com to read specs and information about all three of the atvs you are interested in buying. No matter what machine you buy, you will have a blast. Be safe. Good luck!

If your after pure grunt, don't buy the wolverine, it has tall gearing. The kodiak has a dual range trany, this might just the ticket!!

If you want a quad that will be sporty and pull then check out the Yamaha Kodiak, me and a friend just bought one each. They are a blast and have both options you are looking for we both are happy with our choice. I have put over 550 LBS on mine and was impressed with the way it handled the weight and the power that it had for pulling the load. You might take a ride on one to get a good feel for the machine.-------Kyle Kimball---
