adjusting works shocks?
#3
You don't have to send them in,if you want to adjust the pre-load you need to compress the springs(not the shock itself)there should be a circlip to take off that hold the spring, then you just re-install the circlip in one of the other grooves(up for more pre-load, down for less pre-load)you might want to try a strut spring compressor, you should be able to rent on of these from your local auto parts store for next to nothing. Hope this helps

Just have a buddy pull down the spring and then you use a small to medium flat blade screwdriver and just tap the end of the screwdriver on the clip in two or three places and presto it will snap into the next groove. Takes about a minute per side. No ****** pulling on the spring though.

what i do is take a ratchet tie down and put it around the rack and the a arm than crank it down than take another tiedown and thread it thure all the springs than release the ratchet one and jack the quad up that makes the spring compressed and the shock extended and its real easy o move the c clip
