J Arms are only on 87-88-89 banshees (someone correct if I forgot a year).
See the front end? Both AArms (the triangles that connect the frame to the wheel) have a triangle shape. The shock goes through the upper one and attaches on the lower one.
With J Arms, the upper arm goes "around" the shock (giving it a sort of J shape). It is less precise and more fragile I believe than double AArms.
