Tell us about the hardest trail obsticle you ever conquered without help
#2
It was three-foot vertical ledge at the top of a hill. I approach the hill at a very fast clip shot up the ledge and went straight up in the air. I then landed on my rear wheels in a vertical position at the very edge of the ledge. I look over the shoulder down the hill and lean forward to push the front end down. Then I could take a breath and found a different route

well ONE time I was riding alone in the winter breaking my trails and I went down a hill and then I hit a patch of ice and it threw me into a hole. And that hole was my hardest obstacle to get over. I tried and tried to push it up but it just spun. I walked about a mile home in 1&1/2 feet of snow and got my comealong and went back out there hooked it to a tree and went to hook it on to the four wheeler and it was bout 4 ft too short. I gotta go now I will tell ya the rest later.

The toughest obstacle...well it wasn`t an obstacle that was in my way (I looked for it too), but it has to be the biggest stuff I did (when I think about it). BTW, it was on my snowmobile (nothing much special on the shee except hillclimbs and jumps...and I get stuck in mudbogs..sooo).
Not so far from my house, there`s a "lake" that looks more like a big hole (like 200` deep, there`s water only during spring), with 40deg and more bankings. So it`s all covered of snow, and depending on the places, you can roll down, or do a tiny jump and land on the downhill...etc I jumped those places a couple times, but there was this special place that looked really like a razorback. Imagine you`re on top...it`s like a slight uphill, then a 10`(or so) drop (vertical, you can`t coast down)...and the downhill continues a little before reaching the bottom. Well, being pumped by watching 2 Stroke Cold Smoke 3 and Slednecks...I decide to go for it, go like 5mph, gas it just before taking off and I`m in the air for a little and land in the downhill more roughly than ever. I didn`t crash (that time), and Xplor said it looked great. So this has to be the scariest stuff I did (especially the drop part), difficult also caus it could have gone wrong anytime...

I have climbed many hills (hillsville, wellsville, etc.) but we found a hill at Yankee Lake in Brookfield Ohio. This hill wasn't the tallest hill I ever climbed but many things made it crazy.
The hill started straight for about 10 ft, then a tight 75degree right turn for 5 ft then another tight75 degree turn left to head up the hill. Well the hill had many ruts and bumps on it and was very steep. What made the hill so hard was it seemed easy to try in 2nd gear, but as you come out of the 2nd tight turn the quad has lost all momentum and now you trying to get up the hill still in 2nd with whatever bottom end your bike can muster, while the same time leaning as far forward as possible.
My one buddy didn't make it to the top, tryed to keep the bike on the hill for us to help but the hill was just to steep. It sent the bike rolling down the hill and then started smacking trees at that 2nd turn. Pretty crazy. The one raptor that was with us that tried it did it in 1st gear and still had to clutch the bike a bit to get it to the top.
Anyways, I would never attempt again, but glad i tried it and made it successufully the first time.
