I want to put a different set of tires and wheels on my TBoss. I still have the stock Titan 489 tires on it. I trail ride in woods, up hills, mud, old slack hills, and in fields.

What brand of wheels should I get? ITP, Douglas, etc???

Which thickness .190 or .160??

Should I go with stock size tires or go A little shorter? I don't want to lose a lot of ground clearance.

If I go with 20's how will this affect my top speed, acceleration? Will it?

I have posted this question a long time ago (couple months ago) and no one answered me. So, could someone help me out?

Thanks

I have a 01 TBoss and I was wondering the same thing. I do know that the smaller the tire the lower gear it will have which lowers top speed. A taller tire would make a higher gear ratio and loose low-end but gain top speed. I thought about keeping the same size but not sure what type to buy.
I would like to know what kind of tire all of you guys run on your TBlazers,TBosses,Scramblers, and Sports. I also do lots of hillclimbing and alot of them have very loose traction.

I run the ITP T-9 Edge Wheels which are not cheap, but I ride a lot of rocky trails and they still look brand new. My friends I ride with get upset when they look at their banged up steel wheels compared to mine and we all ride the same trails. I hit my skid plate enough already, I can't imagine having 20" tires. If you have trouble with flats, go with at least a 4 ply tire. Remember, you get what you pay for.
