Other than the independent rear suspension on the Sportsman, what is the difference between it and the Magnum 500? I have ridden everything out there and I come back to the Polaris. Is the Magnum 500 4x4 a good machine? Is it true 4wheel drive? I don't really care for the IRS on any of the models out there, Polaris or otherwise. How does the PVT system cope with a BigFoot setup? Is there alot of power loss or is it so minimal that I won't notice? I know there is alot of questions here but I want to make sure before I buy my next ride.

Thanks For Your Help!

You will notice power loss with a Bigfoot kit no matter what tranny you have. The IRS is the only major difference between the Mag and the Sportsman.

IRS is not the only major difference. The Sportsman also has the High Output motor.
Still, I would take the Magnum. The price is much better and I think for work it a much better choice while still being a good trail bike.
