IN NEED OF CLUTCH REPLACEMENT HELP!!! PLEEEASE!
#1
Ok, Im in a hurry here. Im replacing the clutch in my 350X.
Im all the way to removing the last bolt to get the plates off.
I already removed the 4 spring bolts, and im seriously stuck here.
I cannot get this big main center clutch basket/pressure plate bolt off.
Is this bolt reverse threaded or what? I simply cannot get it to budge.
I called my local Honda dealer, and one of the guys told me that I NEEDED this special honda tool that holds the sprocket so that it dosnt spin while your trying to get the bolt loose. Ive solved that problem by locking the rear wheels, and putting the tranny in 6th gear.
So, my question is, is this bolt reverse threaded? or do I need to BANG on it harder?

Need4speed: I know, I was just in a big hurry because of the sircumstances.
250R: I talked to a buddie of mine, and he told me that it was NOT reversed threads.
So I just got a breaker bar with LOTS of leverage! (about 3 foot bar) Broke her loose right away. Now Im just waiting for my new clutch kit.....

I didnt take the whole basket off. There is the 4 spring bolts, took them off.
Then, in order to get all the plates off, I had to remove a large pressure plate bolt. Pressure plate comes off, and all the plates follow.
Question: Anyone know tight the spring bolts must be? Torque specs?

Rather than locking up the rear wheels and putting it in 6th gear, use a penny. You place the penny in the clutch gears and the next one over. Since the penny is a softer metal than the gears, the penny is destroyed, but the gears will not get a mark.
Just make sure you take the crushed penny out when you are done.
