What would you guys (and girls) like to see in an Ideal quad shop (Aftermarket not stock dealer).

Have you noticed that there are very few shops that actually carry a good amount of race aftermarket parts, short of the mail order shops?

I have a few to start off with.
1. Parts actually IN STOCK!
2. To actually ship the parts when agreed upon.
3. New innovative parts
4.............

Thanks for the help.

This applies to both aftermarket and regular dealers.

HIRE PEOPLE WHO KNOW OUR MACHINES

I get tired of going in there and saying something (that anyone who has ever owned a quad would understand) and having them stare at me crosseyed. So i havata walk them over to a machine, hope they have a machine like mine in stock, and point out the part.

ME: Yea i need 2 hub studs for my 400ex
THEM: Um what model
ME; 400ex
THEM: Thats a kawasaki right
Me: no its a honda.
THEM: alright so your looking for something to hold a wheel on
ME: um kinda
THEM: well we dont have any in stock, youll havta order them.
ME: ok how much
THEM: 200 bucks
ME: WHAT! FOR 2 BOLTS
THEM: Oh i thought you meant rim, you did say what hold your wheel on
ME: yea i also said two hub studs

Thats a conversation ive had with them

Real bright...eh?

Man I know the feeling! And then the people are RUDE! Well I will definatley hire racers and quad enthusiast (sp?). I may not make a lot, but money isn't everything. At least I will have fun and have a knowledgable shop.

Thanks for the help Derek. You and I both know that most of the shops in Indiana need some serious improvment. There is a few that are nice and helpful, but can't afford to stock a whole lot.

OMG all you wanted was 2 axles and you had to go through all that ? wow J/K

What I would want is a place where you could bring you 4 wheeler to get worked on right there not sent out to some place. Every place around here you need to send your motor out to get ported, or a big bore kit and things like that then you have to pay more and takes longer.
