Are full time 4 wd drive quads open front diff or limited slip front diff?

Some models are limited slip and some are open, but nearly all the manufacturers consider them limited slip.
However, compared to a limited slip on an automobile, they are open type.
The tire in the mud will spin while the one on hard ground does nothing. You know what I mean.
