I got a new rubicon about a week ago and I've noticed that the speedo readout drops alot slower than the quad actually does, I can be almost stopped going around a corner and the speedo is still dropping trying to get to my actual speed. Also sometimes it seems to labour a bit like it's in 2nd gear when I slow down but not quite to a full stop and take off again. This could all be normal but I'm not sure, it's a 2001 with 25Km on it so far.

DOn't know what to tell you about the speedo still showing speed that you're not still doing, but on the laboring like it's in second gear thing: What drive mode are you using? That sounds like you're using D2, and it has a tendency to react like that. Use D1, and it should respond more responsively. D2 is basically for flat ground travel, and isn't recommended for trail riding, etc.

I have noticed a few glitches in the electronic speedo on the rancher too, very minor but still there. Most electronic speedometers lag by a second or two, just a bit of slow electronics there(although in the day of P4's on desktops you think they could have a realtime speedo!) But I've noted that if you tap the trottle while sitting in nuetral stopped- sometimes it'll register a speed for a second. There is no movement of the shaft at the sensor, so it must be sensitive to electric interference from somewhere else in the electronics.

While cruising with standard accelerations and stops the speed seems to track rock solid though.
