400ex- Lighter FLYWHEEL?

Anyone lighen their flywheel on the 400ex? What will this do for performance?

Also- How about a timing advancer? anyone do this? what will it do for performance?

I lightened my flywheel. This will allow your motor to rev faster. Think of the physics of it. The lesser mass to turn the faster the acceleration. Will you be able to feel the difference when riding it? Probably not. Unless you are racing and are looking for every little bit possible, I wouldn't bother.

Don't waste your time. It costs lost of money, it might give you one or two HP more but you will loose lots of torque. This loss of torque will make the bike harder to ride, you will have to rev higher before letting out the clutch or come out of a turn in a gear that you could power out of before to find your engine bogging.
