Ok, I need help from the 'experts'.

I need a CV joint for a small Baja vehicle that I am making. Is there any vendor anywhere that sells sheap versions of these guys? I can find like magnesium carbonfibre blah blah ones ... but I need simple joints ... splined output and can handle about 900 ft·lbs of torque.

Can anyone help me? Even OEM Aluminum or anything ... i am kinda stuck.

The VW type II are readily available and can handle 22 degrees of angle. The Porshe 930s can handle 24 degrees. Outer CVs from a front wheel drive car can handle around 44 degrees of angle. I think VW Rabbit ones have been used a lot.

The CVs on a Drakart are BMW outers at both ends. Because the outer CVs do not accomodate axle plunge, the axles have splined slip joints basically like those found on the front drive shafts of 4x4 trucks.

Drakart pics that show axles.
