alright guys... I need some advice here. I have ridden a few times now, (a friend's 250x loaded, and his older bro's '02 raptor)...i am addicted. i love ridding... my prefered type of ridding is: trailing, backyard stuff...light stunts (jumps, hops, wheelies, ridin on the sidewalls, etc.) nothin too fancy, no racing or anything like that... although we might go out to indiana dunes in the spring. my question here is: what quad would you guys suggest. im familiar with the 250x (and supposedly the 300ex is basically the same quad - so im thinking about that one)...but ive heard a lot about the 400ex... do you guys think i should check out a 400?? i dont want to kill myself, but i do want a quad thats limits are higher than my own right now, and that i can make better and faster as i become better. i am open to other ideas as well... but i would like to keep it 4stroke... i can work on those myself, for the most part.

20 years old
about 6' tall
150lbs.
about 20 hours total ridding time
i am in the Air force - so i am in very good physical shape.

by the way... my buddy just bought a 350x motor to put in his 250x (he destroyed the 250 motor!) so i want something that will hang (more like BEAT!!) his new 350x

hey jman20 go with 1 400ex it sounds like it would suit u best i would have said the 300ex but u said u wanted to outrun a 350x.

 

A 400EX will not outrun a 350X, stock for stock, and your buddie is probably going to build that 350.
