What mods make the most power for the money? What do you think about the cam kit with the hi comp piston from alba? Are there any other good kits?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

I had that kit. went all out. 12:1 top end cam, springs....

It runs with stock 400ex's in drags, but doesnt handle well enough to race them anywhere else.

you'll get alot of pinging with 12:1 unless you use race fuel. If I were doing it again I would get 10.5:1 and the midrange cam, so then its possible to run pump gas with octane boost. Im thinking the midrange cam would be the best all around, the top end cam was exactly that - TOP END. it seemed to hurt the bottom.

 

Can you just run premium with an octane booster? Are you running pure race fule or are you mixing it?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I try and run race fuel if I can but rarely do, mostly mix with octane boost and it will still ping alot if you dont use enough.

 

What kind of gains can I get with an Alba midrange cam and a 10.5:1 piston?
