Clutch Adjustment?
#1
Just wondering how to tell if I have my clutch adjusted correctly? I installed a new clutch lever this past weekend and basically set the clutch engagement about a 1/2" off the bar. I was playing around with starting the quad tonight with it in gear and it jumps forward until it fires, it has done this since new. I played around with the adjustment but couldn't do anything to keep it from moving forward when cranking it over? I also noticed, when the quad is in gear and not started, that I can not move the quad even with the clutch lever pulled. Finally I took it for a ride and everything seemed fine. I parked it and shut the engine off, then I pulled the clutch lever and could move the quad with it in gear this time? As the quad started to cool down I could no longer move it even with the clutch lever pulled. Have I smoked my clutch or is there something that I am overlooking in the adjustment?

mine is the same way since new. i asked the dealer and said it is normal..
my clutch starts engaging about half way on my release. what kind of lever did you get, and did you eliminate your parking brake. i'm planning on doing it soon..
