Can anyone give me some suggestions? I am looking to increase the speed both low/bottom end. I have some $$$ to play with but i don't want to bank it all on the Raptor!
I want to thank all of you for the inout @ the probs' w/ the 2001(tranny & carbs) I guess there really isn't anything to do but be sure the extend4ed warranty is in place and hope for the best!!!!
Speed is my need

Opening up the airbox and rejetting should be your first mod. The stock airbox is very restrictive and the big dinosaur really likes to breath.

Listen to RAPTORAZ, try a slip-on pipe also. The GYT-R seems to be popular. I like my FMF Powercore IV SA. If you want to spend some real money, put a 686 or 720 kit in it. Trinity Racing is the only brand that I am familiar with, but I am sure that there are others that will be mentioned.

Just my 2 cents: Save some of that motor mod money and put it into arms and shocks. I guarantee you will smoke ANYONE with a stock raptor on any type of track or twisty trail. Stock, raptors handle like slugs and can't handle half the horsepower the stock motor puts out. Why do you think the pathetic stock 400EX can outrun one through the woods? It's definetely not the massive 26 horses it puts out, thats for sure. I hope you can see the light! Good racing
