How to seal pull start on Honda Rancher

The pull handle does not seal.....any ideas how to keep water and
mud out?

Put Silicone or some kind of gasket seal on your handle then let it set till it is dry. If you ever need to use the pull start just pull on it and it will or should just pull right off and then reseal it when you are done. Make sure there is no water in there to begin with and make sure the surface is clean before you put it on. Hope this helps you.

stay out of the mud and water.no fun but it works.

use the stock eletric start it came with.

The pull starter is not sealable without serious modification. The silicone in the handle is the quick fix. There is a drain hole at the bottom of the housing, actually its a notch in the engine casing. Once water and mud are inside they eat the seal into the engine.
