Replacing the useless speedo with a removable GPS on the new quads and Hi-lifter should make a conversion kit for older models.
Anybody agree?

I caught your response about navigating with a GPS and would like to ask you a question. I ride lease roads and logging trails and would like to extend my range 25+ miles. These roads are a maze. I think I'm ready for GPS. What unit would you recommend?

I run a Garmin Vista on mine. Has compass, altitude and 24 megs of memory. I also have the Garmin handlebar mount but do not like it. I am going to take a look at the Ram mounts. It needs something to absorb the vibration.

Thanks, I was impressed with the Etrex Vista also. It looks like they thought of everything when designed. How did you learn to use the GPS? It looks like something a Navy Seal would carry. I agree with the mounting. The handelbars are way too rough. I would velcro the thing on the gas tank.

Contrary to the popular belief, I have my Garmin mounted on my bars , with No probs at all yet. Ive even rolled my quad over on the gps, well my garmin has preformed flawlessly. I do have my gps mounted with the ram mount, like i said i wouldnt leave home without it.
