I'm looking for a 400ex battery that has more CCA's than the stock one. Has anybody replaced their with other than a stock battery? If so, where can I find one?

 

A stock 400ex battery has 125cca (i think) and after mine died i replaced it with a yuasa batter (175cca) started up real nice after that. I think it was 90 bucks total. Im not sure on the part number though, i sold my quad so icant go and get it off of there. I think Yuasa has a website, it might be www.yuasa.com but i am not sure.

 

the 400ex is hard to cold start......i have a high compression motor, i have to jump mine off with my truck the first time i crank it....doing this will not suck the life out of your battery.....400ex cold starts=headache......my adice, trash the motor......lol.

 

p.s. i replaced mine too.....bought it from the dealer....it was a yauasu or whatever.....i think the stock battery is a yaayaouusuyo or whatever.

 

It is a yuasa YT12A-BS, same size as stock YTX9-BS, damn near double the price but it starts just like jumping it from the truck, good battery.

Walmart sells a replacement battery for the 400ex (its in their book). I think its 210 CCA and costs about $60. I saw it the day after I bought a replacement Yuasa(175 CCA) from the dealer for $90.

 

Outlaw Atv in New Jersey sells the larger amp battery. Works great on my 440. I think they are 84.99
