Hi im new to the forum and the sport. I just purchased a 02 scrambler 500 4x4 and a 01 scrambler 90 for my son so far the big one has been great but i have only 3 to 4 hours on it , but ive been smiling the whole time. Could someone tell me about getting a little more bottom end snap out of it? I know its not a two stroke screamer, and im not interested in going as fast as i can just some more umpth off the line. Any help would be greatly accepted.

clutch kit, call HPD or RCR tell them what you want and you will have it, after you part with a little green.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

All you need is a differant primary spring Try a white, green or purple. All of these will make it quicker white is little hotter then green then purple.

LJM, Have you changed your secondary clutch spring position? There should be 3 numbered holes in one half of the clutch and 2 in the other, giving you several different combinations. I don't understand all aspects of setting up polaris clutches, but I changed the settings on my 01 scrambler 500 until I found the one I liked. At the stock position that mine came in , it would hook up at low rpm. At my current setting it builds higher rpm before engagement therefore it seems to "jump naked" out of the hole. I did'nt time it before the change so I don't know if it is actually any faster, but I do know the front end won't stay on the ground now!!! I would suggest talking to some of the other people on here that know clutches and have the facts. You might be looking for more of a performance boost than this will provide ,,,,, but this ones FREE! my pics
