carb problems...

how do you get it to idle back down. the idle screw doesnt do any thing cause it idles so high, could it be that the E clip on the needle is on the wrong setting ?? thanks in advance.

If your idle screw will not affect it you need to adjust your air mixture screw.If this does not fix it,then your pilot jet is to lean

i am not trynig to sound like a complete moron and not know any thing but i usally dont messaround with the carb if it runs i leave well enough alone. but which screws are which.i dont want to turn or tighten the wrong ones.

If your carb is tuned right your air screw should be 1 3/4 turns out.It will be a small flat head crew that is almost flush or barely sticking out on the side towards the bottom of the carb
