Well I just got back from a weekend outing with the original tires (for now) and let me tell you this machine is awesome!! 180 mile trip, two days and the mighty bear feels like its riding on a plush cotton cushion!! ITS AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!! Had a Sportsman 2000 before and, without exagerating, I would say its definately more comfortable. Power? Speed? the mighty bear just says "WHEN!!!" WOOOOOW!! PUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE POWER, smooth power, not too noisy.... man I'm a happy owner!

We went to the mountains down here, we have huge mountain ranges down here. Went up to 8,500 ft high. High hills and long roads up, the bear says "get the hell out my way or I'll run you over" hahahahaha....Left my friends eating dust and just looking at the rear end of my beatiful bear!!

If you are wondering if the altitude affected the power of the bear....well it does but it also does for the others, so still was asking "is my break ligh working?" (since they were all in the back they could be nice enough to check it for me HAHAHAHAHA)

Well my friends, the bear passed the first test with flying colors!! So I add myself to the proud new owners club!

Cordially,

Ricky D. (a.k.a. Delirious Grizz Owner!)

I've never read such a happy post before. Glad to hear the Grizz is better than what you expected. What were the other quads you rode with? Just wondering if any of the other big bores were there and how they rated. I'm also curious if the Grizz feels at all unstable on off chambers on difficult rock sections.

There were five Sportsman 500 HO's and also a Traxter 500. ALL BLOWN AWAY!!!

Concerning the offcamber situation, MAYBE it feels just a little tippy but I blame it all on the tires! way too narrow. I tried the bigger and wider tires and felt as stable as a rock.
So all the whispering about the Grizz being unstable you can blame on the tires, and even then its more over stated than it really is! AWESOME MACHINE (This is my humble opinion)

Hope this helps!

With wider tires and wheels, Spidertrax and Douglas, our Grizz is the only utility we've ever ridden with that can almost keep up with our Raptor and DS-650. On a very whooped out little renegade MX track the best time was by my son on his Raptor at 2 minutes 21 seconds. He did it on the Grizz in 2 minutes 44 seconds. My best time on my DS was 2 minutes 35 seconds.
..... Out on the trail, the Grizz is close behind, those Sportsman are WAY behind.
..... We don't have a time on the MX track for a Sportsman yet.
We are trying to find a bulldozer to fix up this little track. It is on National Forest land right next to a huge open pit copper mine. We aren't going to get permission, that would, no doubt, require an environmental assesment and a bunch of other crap. This is in and around an old pit that was probably dozed by mistake in the first place.
As Nike said "Just do it".
