new ac 500i manual!!
#1
hi everyone, well after lurking on here for a couple of weeks now & doing a lot of reading i went & bought a 500i manual yesterday. i told the dealer about all the posts about the idle problems that people were haveing, i told him what i had read about moveing the vent tube hose to the left side & when he took the seat off you could see where the tube was about half mashed, so he changed it to the left for me. i hope i don't have any problems. he also done the recall thing on the brakes also. i have never even sat on a atv befor & when i got ready to leave with it i had the dealer drive it up in the back of my truck, but when i got home & had to unload it i bet it took me 10minutes of backing it off. lol.i was afraid i'd run off the side of the ramps. of corse i had to buy ramps to. its supposed to be 55deg. here today so i'm fixing to give her hell today after breakfast. can't hardly wait, just wanted to let ya'll know i'd gotten one.

Congrats on the new quad. Sounds like you have a good dealer, that should make your experience better. Did you sign up for the ATV safty course? It is pretty basic but well worth while. I take it every time I get a new quad. It is free and AC even pays you $100 bucks to take it. You get the $ just once but my wife got it last time and I took the course with her.
Did you get a helmet with your quad? Ride safe and take it easy at first.

Congrats.& Welcome MAV! Mudcat gave you some good advice. The ATV Safety course will give you alot of helpful basics. That is a big machine to start out on.I'm not saying you did wrong by buying it I'm just saying to take at easy on it for a while until you get to know how the machine will react in differant situations. One more MAJOR thing to do is follow your owners manual on the proper break-in procedure (first 10 hours 1/2 throttle or less) If you follow that you will get many more problem free years out of the engine. You will be very happy that you chose A.C. they are a good reliable machine.Good Luck,Be Safe but most of all have fun
