alky carbs

I don't think the cost of the fuel is very much at all. I believe its cheaper than race gas. The problem is, it's very corrosive. You can't let it sit in you quad over night. You must flush your carbs when your done riding. Remove excess fuel from the gas tank etc.
Sounds like more trouble than its worth. Also you must be real good at reading your engine or you'll fry it real quick.
Good luck...

Alcohol is not corrosive at all. It exerts very limited effects on alluminum. Only after long periods of time will you see any damage done to alum.(months) The only thing that cna hurt is that the alky grabs water from the air and when it evavporated it leaves the water in your motor which can cause rust. But hears the thing. When it evaporates it also leavves the iol behind which helps fight off the rust. I flush my motors once a week. usually after I race and then I leave it alone. If I tune on it during the week , I just wait unitl after I race to flush it. You dont have to drain your tank or anything like that. It is a good idea to plug your vent tube wwhen your not riding in order to keep fresh moisture out, but remember to remove it when you ride. Alcohol is a very predictable and friendly fuel. It burns WAY COOLER than gas, so heat is no problem. It also burns twice as fast, so you are getting twice as much lubricant in the cylinder. You can get 10-15 hp instantly from alky carbs. Jetting is simple and rarely needs to be changed once its right. I run alcohol exclusively in my drag bikes and I love it. It is the best fuel i have ever used and will ever use. I do not recommend it for trail riding, only drag and hillshotting, and dunes. Alcohol is much cheaper than gas and doesnt require lots of compression. It likes a little compression and a little timeing advance, but you dont have to go overbaord with either. Again I want to make my point that ALCOHOL IS NOT HCL OR SO4, ITS JUST ALCOHOL. ITS NONCOROSIVE!. The water that is grabs is. If you want to go fast try it.

Just to let you know Alky is about 2.00 a gallon and from what I have seen it does deteorate alluminum but that is in our drag car that does not have oil added to the fuel but it is instant horsepower. also you will burn 2-3 times the fuel.

alky is a bitch to start if the temp is below 50 degrees. you may have to prime with gas to get to start. when we used alky i kept a can of gas with a hose and a valve and removed the tank hose to the carbs and attached the can to the carbs and ran the engine till the carb was full of gas which makes it easier to start the next time.
