Just got a brand new prairie and was cleaning it up after a ride. I took off all the warning BS stickers, and there was a sticker that I removed from the right headlight that left a lot of sticker glue residue. So smart meticuluos me decides to use "Goof off" sticker remover to get it off. I rubbed it in and then looked to make sure it was all gone and my lens plastic melted. I mean I can't even see inside the headlight (it looks fogged). It looks like the part # is 23005-1180 for the lens (and maybe the body). I'd like to replace just the lens if possible. Does anyone know of a price for that part #. I hate to spend the $$ on cosmetics but the looks of this really bug me.

Yikes, Thats too bad. Volitiles and some caustics can do alot of damage on clear plastic. Especially where visibility or light transmittance is concerned. You might want to visit 1001headlights.com sometimes they can get motorcycle/vehicle lenses pretty cheap.

Hey There Thuumpin, exact same thing happen to me when I used Goof Off to clean the residue from my right hand headlamp lens. I haven't addressed it yet but last time I was down to the kawasaki shop I did tell he dealer to be sure to tell his customers not to use Goof Off on plastic lens! I wonder if he'll pass it on? Anyway I never ride at night so I'm not pushing myself to replace it just yet but everytime I look at my Prarie head-on it bugs me!

Hey Provokid, I have relatives that live in Ogden and all they and their neighbors own are 2 stokes (heavily modified) with paddle tires. I used to live in Provo and I used to have quadzilla.

I live in NY (upstate) and 4x4s outnumber the 2x4s about 3:1, we all have winches too. Mud hills rivers logs. It is a riot here.

Is there good riding for your 650 in utah? What kind of trails? What do you think the ratio of 2x4 to 4x4 quads is?

I would imagine that should have been taken care of at the dealership after they assembled it. If they didn't and you messed something up trying to complete their job I would raise a stink about it and have them replace it. Seems it would be a liabiality issue if your dealer is letting atvs out the door with sitckers on the light.

I think the Dawg is right about the dealer shoulda cleaned it. However, did anybody try a good stong piece of packing tape? Pulls glue off for me. Sometimes you hafta use more. Press it with yer nails and keep yankin glue off with the tape.

I only use goof off(up) to clean plastic stuff that I don't care if the surface finsh gets altered.
