i raced a rancher with the digital speedo and he was running 51 when he was maxxed out. i passed him but not too quickly. maybe 53-54 mph. 57 down hill with a tail wind.

Well,
I have a 350cc Big Bear I know there is 50cc difference in the 2000's and the previous years but my 2x4 maxxed out only goes 45mph. This is fast enough for me if I go any faster it feels like I will flip.

I dont have a bigbear yet but i am looking into buying a 2005 Big Bear 400 4x4. A lot of people complain about it being geared too low but i feel that you do not need to go 60+ miles and hour on a trail. And it being geared low is good for mudding and such.

I just picked up my big bear yesterday and I was out ridng today and i think that it will do 40-50 MPH. I do not want to push it because im still in the break in period but thats about how fast it will do.
